It helps to let people know you have the capability to keep up a good standing as an ebay member, but it does not replace post count. Go get associated with some members... they're more likely to buy something from someone they "know" than someone who registered "just to sell". |

I also use the same username for EVERYTHING, so you may have seen me on eBay, or Gunboards, etc. That's another good way to use for references, regardless of post count. |

Curious on why it blocks everyone (low post count). Shouldnt it just stop sellers ? If Im a buyer who cares how posts I have as long as I pay !! I understand your logic. At one of the truck forums I belong to (over 5,000 posts) we have sellers, prove to mods there creditails. I know a pita. Was just curious thats all.

I think the rule makes sense. I bet that you will beat the majority of the problems with any number of minimums. The trolls, and viagra guys anyway.
On the otherhand, if someone has fallen on hard times, wants to sell thier HP or other gun, gun sites are where they will go. They may not have anything to say, but just want to make an informed sale to informaed buyers.

in that event the mods/admins would discuss making an exception on a case by case basis with no guarnatees of anyhting. we're not ogres around here but we have to keep the spammers and shillers at bay. SW |

I check this site regularly but don't post a lot. I always looked at the for sale forum and do miss it. The number of posts required should probably be about the same as I what I currently have.  Just go to the welcome aboard forum and say "HI!" to everybody there, or post an inane "Wow, that's interesting/cool/disgusting--glad/sad you posted it." every time someone posts a new topic. Then you'll fit in with 99 and 44/100 % of everybody else on teh intarwebb. And you'll soon have enough posts to be an 'HPFF Distinguished Expert' You are correct sir  |
