You have to get so many posts on the forum before you are allowed to see it. We have had too many deals go south from people with less than 20 posts not holding up to their end of the bargain. A few members have been taken for over $100. Hope you understand.

According to the old software's database, you had 1 post. The current threshold is 25 posts to access the Trading Post.

I understand the concept behind not letting "newbs" view the "For Sale" section, but I think it also takes away from some of the honest guys here.

I just recently purchase my 995 and I am in the market for several items.  Ill have to wait until Jan. 5th to get with HiPoint and  after Newyears for Bushman parts.

Where as there may or may not be items avail. to me now in the FS area.  But I'll never know until I get 22 more posts.

I understand there are some who do not agree with the policy, but considering the somewhat anonomyous nature of the internet and some of it's users, it's the best solution we have come up with to protect our users to some level of effectiveness.

We're limited on our resources, and unlike ebay, we cannot track users after they've jilted another.  It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.  There are some gun boards who have done away with the "for sale" section simply because of the liability.  We don't want to do that, so we're taking proactive steps right now to keep the dealers who only come here to sell and the fly-by-night douches who get booted off of other boards from ripping people off from cluttering our community.

^ I'm clear on the reasoning and I am glad you guys havent done away with the FS section completely.

I hope what I said wasn't taken negatively.
