Ordered mine online from these folks. http://www.rrarms.com/index.php if you can catch one in stock they are a good source.

They were a pleasure to deal with. Shipped it to my local gunshop where I picked it up. The shipping was less than the taxes I would have had to pay so it saved me money.

Dear 2TN Mules LOL!
Thanks for the post. I've been seeing 995TS for a lot more on Gunbroker.

I repeat: the price of Hi-Point firearms are highly dependent on location. If you price a carbine at a local gun store please give model, TS or Classic, and Location, (at least state).

The variation in price for the 995TS that I have seen is $399 (on-line), and $229 on sale at Cabela's Hamburg PA (sold-out).

Spends way too much money on guns.

There was a TS at the local gun show here (Florence, AL) over the weekend for $400.  Dude selling that one wanted to own somebody.  That's the first and only one I've seen in real life.

EDIT: Gun show, not gun store.

If a muzzle brake comes with it, they may keep the bayonet.  I shall trade  my P95 towards this .45 acp carbine.

I've been waiting for the debut of this weapon for a year.  I haven't been to the HiPoint websight for 6 months or more.  I was more than disapointed to see the 45 carbine was not in the line up on the carbine page.  Like many of you, I am pairing pistols and long guns that can share ammo.  There are other 45 carbines out there.  But they are pricey.  I signed up for this blog to find out what is going on.  They've been putting you folks off for a while.  Looks like my Christmas present to me this year may well be Keltec.  I do like the MasterPiece Arms MPA460-1.  But like its competitors, its pricey.

This is a firearm that Hi-Point intends to guarantee forever, basically, so I don't blame them for proceeding cautiously in order to get it right the first time. If they rush this gun into production and then have a design flaw become apparent that precipitates a flood of warranty returns, it could be financially disastrous for the company. If the manufacturer was forced to go out of business, none of us would be happy about that.  Cry

Very insightful... a lot of us forget this part.
