995 chronograph data

has any one chronoed their 995 to see how much more velocity you gain with the carbine barrel vs a pistol? I think i'm going to try that tomorrow I'll post my findings after. If anyone has done this please post your results.

Those are some pretty signifigant increases.  It just goes to show you just how useful a pistol caliber carbine can be when your application doesn't require a round past 100m, but you still need velocity.

WOW! That's a dramatic jump in velocity!

Any idea if (sub-sonic) 147 grain bullets also jump past the sound barrier? (Thinking of suppression).

But, on the other hand, that's good news... well, not really good news for varmints, but... ya know!

That's about a 20% increase in velocity over the pistol.

I only noticed about 150fps differece on the wwb ammo but my 115 grain hollow point reloads showed a best of 1580fps using hp 38 powder while the pistol showed 1140fps thats a big difference. my 124grain reloads using hp38 powder and lee tumble lube bullets showed 1391 fps while the pistol was1219fps I might have to.  load down my lead reloads to prevent barrel leading. the 115 grain hp reloads, with nearly 1600fps the effective range should be a little past 100yds. all my reloads are loaded to the max specs in my lee loading manual that came with my lee anniversary set.the factory ammo showed the least difference. the accuracy seemed to be the best with 124 tumble lube bullets. next time I will do an accuracy test but I need a scope first.
