I believe it is. Generators, camping gear, guns, ammo and fishing gear.never sold better. There will be another great catastrophy looming ten or twelve years after that one too

I don't think I missed it at all you threw up a post full of conjecture and I pulled a quote from that post that I felt summed up my feelings on it.

All that I know for sure is that this hype over 2012 and all the other doom and gloom predictions out there, is working to my advantage.  Now my wife tells me that it's OK for me to buy guns and ammunition.   evillaugh  Like Rambo E. said:  "you never let a good crisis go to waste."  devilsidesmile

My point is, people want to dismiss 2012, because some ancient cultures said something big was going to happen on that date... and 'well that's just silly'. Yet we have scientic proof that something big IS going to happen on that date. The earth will be experiencing a number of events, and some of them have not happened since before the Dawn of Mankind. So we have no way of knowing the full extent of what will happen. What we do know is that when the earth has gone through these time periods before, science has shown that catastrophic events have occured.

Now do we know exactly what will happen? Nope we don't, because it has never happened to us before. But what we do know is that certain events WILL happen, and in the past, they have always been trouble for our planet. And it just so happens that ancient Cultures predict terrible times ahead in this time period. Call it coicidence, if you want, but facts are facts.

The problem with predicting the end of life as we know it is that after the first four or five times, you start to lose credibility.

Sh-t will happen.  We'll get fires and floods.  But I'm thinking that Armageddon is probably about 10 billion years off when the sun expands to encompass the planets.  I'll keep ammo, food, junk silver, and gas in the tank and not lose any sleep.

Well then I guess the Mayan, Hopi, The Chinese I-Ching, Web-Bot Program, and certain Roman oracles, and the Hindu are all still good, since there sole 'end of the World' prediction date has yet to be proven false.
