Why not have anything in 22lr?  I would think that it would be a huge seller.  An affordable gun that shoots affordable ammo.  I love my C9 and 40 but it gets expensive after a while.

prototypes exist (ive seen pictures of them) but they never made it to a production status.  future, who knows?

I'd love to see HP make a .22 pistol or carbine.

Why compete with Ruger Marlin and the scad of others? They filled the hole in the market already.

That's a very good point. The C-9 and JHP are competing with $500 and $700 guns. Why enter a market where they are competing with $120 guns?

a .22lr pistol would do better than a rifle. Too much comeptition in the rifles. Sell a .22lr pistol for 150 and you'd have a huge winner.

That's true, there are plenty of cheap .22 rifles.  The only cheap .22 pistols really are Jennings and those are kinda craptastic.  If they could make a reliable .22 pistol for roughly $100 or less I'd probably buy 2 and keep one in the truck for varmints.

I think a .22 pistol would be a HUGE seller for HP...as long as they didn't try to just rechamber the C9/CF380 configuration.  It would need to be smaller for me.

I think HP should be a mouse gun like the Raven, with the switchable 4'' barrell optional.
