I refuse to buy anything from Old man Ruger, since he sold to gun control, if possible but the Browning Buckmark pistol is as good or better.

Don't ever see any Buckmarks around here, and since I already have an MK III 22/45 I'm kinda partial to that one.

Just picked up a HP22 for $120 nib.  Shoots 22LR , a USA company.  I don't think it would be wise for HiPoint to go in this market segment!
Just my 02 cents worth!

I think HP should be a mouse gun like the Raven, with the switchable 4'' barrell optional.

You should check out the Phoenix HP22A then. comes with a 3" barrel, but also avail. is a 5" barrel along with an extended mag. (49.95)
I LOVE mine so far.

I wrote to Hi-Point customer service asking about a .22 recently and a few days later received a reply that there are no plans at this time. I do agree that adding a .22LR would be nice. Particularly since my C-9 is so damn fun to shoot. With a .22 I could spend all day at the range. Cool

I'd more than likely buy 2 of those if they ever made em. For now though, i will just enjoy the heck outta my c9 until the cost of ammo starts to rise again and irk me!

I have to add a vote (in case HP is reading this) for a Hi-Point .22 pistol.  I currently own a Phoenix HP22A, which is a FANTASTIC freakin' gun (concealed pocket-pistol that eats .22 hollow points all day and spits 'em out with nary a jam), but it's a pocket gun.  Yes, there's the goofy-looking 5-inch "target" barrel, but the gun really isn't set up for that, it's very tacked-on and doesn't fit with the overall form factor.

I'd love to see Hi-Point make a polymer-frame .22 similar to the Walther P22 (combat-pistol, compact frame appearance) but that, unlike the Walther, actually feeds reliably.  Basically a "baby" C9/CF380.  They could charge $130-150 for it just like the CF380/C9... all the other inexpensive (sub $250) .22's are pocket guns, not compacts, so the potential for HP is there.

I would LOVE a Hi-Point .22 LR pistol.

I know I'll have to wait, but PLEASE!

Thank you.

Just picked up a HP22 for $120 nib.  Shoots 22LR , a USA company.

The HP22 is a great little pistol. but has its shortcomings.  The biggest is that they caution against using anything over standard velocity (no minimags!), and a secondary one is that they're a bit overly complicated to break down and assemble.

Don't get me wrong: I had one and liked it, particularly because it was accurate and had 10-round mags.  The only reason I don't still have it is because I had an opportunity to trade around through a complicated transaction into a Ruger Mark III. (Yes, another long-barrel plinker, and yes "overly complicated to break down and assemble") Smiley

That said, a Hi-Point .22 built along traditional Hi-Point lines (possible?) would avoid one, and probably both, problems.  Yeah, we know that HPs aren't easy to break down, but -- unlike the HP22 -- you don't do it every outing.

And let's look at Jimenez: The JA-22 can be a nifty little pistol, if you get a good barrel, and there have been problems there.  One the plus side, it's up to heavier loads (Minimags and Stingers), but only has a six-round mag.

Still, reality strikes, and it's not gonna happen.  I just thought I'd add a little info on why the other current offerings don't have a guaranteed lock on the market.

We can always wish.
