Delmar, Cabela's has the 1858 on sale for $189 with free shipping. That's a deal.

I actually knew that but money is a bit tight right now! Yes that is a great deal.

This is completely off topic, but I think this is the longest running thread in the Other Brands of Firearms section I have ever seen lol.

lol, well it covers a whole line of muzzle loading firearms that range from the 1300's to the late 1800's.

Here's my Navy Arms Model 60 (wasn't a copy of any certain gun). Got it in the late 60's. Think they were around $60 at that time. Think I used around 26 grains of 3F under a .451 ball topped with Crisco and #11 caps. haven't fired it in years (drifted more to the rifles). also picturd is the holster and belt I made for it. The pouch carried the balls and over powder wads.

Nice holster! Its a funny thing when I look at picture of that 1851 model, I want to buy the gun again even though I already own it  Cheesy

We both have the same Confederate version with the brass frame... only mine is just a month old. For those that don't know, the Confederacy used brass in their Colt Clones because of steel shortages.

That is a cool looking belt and holster. My Dad told me that he recalls seeing the 1858 Remingtons selling for $50 in 1970.

BTW,lakota169 I like your Navy Arms Model 60.
