HP would have the edge over them by making an American weapon and at a low price, like the rest of their guns. Just a thought.
But it wouldn't be at a low price by the time the retooling, R&D, etc. was taken into account.

Wow! That is just plain weak. You know, you could have just replaced the allegedely offensive word with, say maybe the word "excited", and in doing so kept the rest of the post intact. This is just plain stunning. Why are the mods so offended by the concept of the revolver carbine? Or is it the idea of collaberation between Hi Point and Charter Arms that you find perhaps ince.... (oops! almost another faux paux!) . . ....that you find so offensive?

I can't speak for others but the idea doesn't offend me at all. It has been tried several times over the last 150 years and was a complete and total commercial failure. the 1st one in black powder had the nasty habit of shredding the fingers of the fore hand holding the barrel in front of the cylinder when it chain fired, as black powder is prone to do. The cartridge types developed later can also do this but with far less frequency. Due to their reputation for mangling hands they have met with limited commercial success. If someone really wants one they are made by Uberti for reinactors.
Hi-point makes more off selling magazines in 2 months than they'd make of 5 years of production of these hermaphroditic firearms so what in the world would possess them to invest in a money losing proposition?

I have no idea why you would even want a revolver based carbine. It doesn't make any sense to me. The main reason they wouldn't make it is because probably like 5 people would buy one.

<sounding like Joe Pesci's Leo Getz> OK OK OK titanium is ok buuuuuut it's kinda weak. Adamantium is cleeearly the only choice for a HP/Charter Arms super revolver carbine.

Ah, finally someone posts an intelligent response! Thank you. What I've discerned so far is that the original revolver carbines came out near the same time as the new lever actions and that's when they lost favor. Remember, this was pre double action - the shooter had to cock the hammer on a revolver. It was much easier to lever the action and keep the forearm in a forward position. You should also note revolvers have a gap between the cylinder and the barrel through which hot gases could burn the bare skin of the forearm when in long gun mode. Modern revolver carbines can shield the forearm (have it load opposite side, no brainer) in addition to having double action. What didn't work in the past is irrelevent to the present. As for HP's investment, I would allege all HP would have to do is provide the barrell (with that 2 thousanths of an inch bored out), buttstock, and handguards, and let CA worry about the firing internals. Then back to HP for final assmbly.
