I love my hp 40  and it's my tatical weapon.it's my one and only and i consider it everything to me.atleast untill after Christmas when i can get a more dependable one.

I didn't say it wasn't dependable,i said untill i get a more dependable one.i want another to oc or cc
and i cant walk around with the hp 40 because it's just too big but i will always keep it in my car with me and sleep with it.

Thanks for finally explaining that the counterweight is the drop safety, I never knew, but is now obvious.

the counterweight on my c9 doesn't rattle with the mag installed, but does when it's not. if you need a stealth weapon, you could just take out the counterweight. the stiffness of the sear spring would protect you from most drops IMO. BUT you shouldn't do this because it's not safe.
