Hello to all here.  I'd heard of Hi Point, but never seen one until Tuesday of this week.  A fellow worker had purchased one in .40 cal., and said they had a couple of 9mm's at the shop.  After hearing the price, and since I'd been looking at getting a handgun I went an had a look.  I bought a C-9 they had that came with a holster.  I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but it appears it will be perfect for my use.

BTW, I don't think the C-9 is ugly. Cheesy

 Welcome to HPFF

Welcome from oklahoma.  I hope you love your C9 as much as i did mine.  I would have never sold it if I didnt have to.  Was one of my favorite guns Ive ever owned.

Funny thing is.... I had to work up on that side of town Thursday.  I drove over the bridge to get to the shop at 7:00 am.  The propane truck exploded underneith it around 10:00 am I think.  Had to take I 70 thru downtown Friday am to get up there instead of I 465.  What a freaking mess, it even burnt the top of a cell/communications tower!

Yeah it was.  It blackened the bridge, two billboards, and the tower.  Also melted the front ends of several cars, and shattered several windows in an apartment complex.  One bridge still isn't open.  Their checking it for structural damage.  It sucks since they say those bridges carry over 100,000 vehicles a day.  It's made life a REAL hassle on the northeast side.

Welcome to the board firehawk, I'm a newbie myself!

If you don't mind me asking...where'd you get your Hi-Point at? I recently bought the C9 and the CF380 from ZX Guns (Goshen based) at a gun show here at the coliseum in Fort Wayne. I've been looking for other reasonably priced Hi-Point dealers in the area though...

I bought my C9 at a small bait/tackle/gun shop in McCordsville just north of Indianapolis.  I paid $160 for mine, which I thought was a good price, but have seen on here they can be bought for less.

I gotcha. Yeah, after you pay all the fees, etc. to get a new gun, $160 isn't a bad price considering.

I got my C9 for $150 ($5 less than MSRP on Hi-Points website) at the gun show here and managed to pick up the CF380 for $135, which is MSRP for that gun. I was pretty proud that I picked up TWO guns for less than ANY other 9mm on the market (when the S&W SW9VE isn't on sale after mail-in rebate for $249.99!) Cheesy

Good buy, enjoy!!!
