Found one of these at a LGS in like condition and would like some info. From what I could find out they where made at the factory towards the end of the war. Believe it has a 22" barrel. Any info would be appreciated.

The pic you are showing is of a sporterized #4 Mk. 1, it is showing a short magazine with a lower capacity than the standard 10rnds.  It was not done by any Lee Enfield factory.  It does look to be a wonderful job though.  Alot of these rifles were converted by Gibbs from "rougher" imports from Navy Arms.  I would need to see more detail pics of the mag, markings on the receiver and the sights to be able to pinpoint it any further.  Also, do you know if it is still in it's original .303 caliber?

Took her out to the range on Sat.  What a sweet rifle. Worked like a dream. My biggest problem was seeing any detail on the target at 100 yards. Hit the 8.5 x11" white background target everytime just couldn't see the bulls eye. 50 yards nice 2 inch groups. I have a feeling I'm asking Santa for a scope for Christmas.
