Hi all, been wanting a carbine for a while now. Have done some research and studies and found that for my budget (less than $500) that the new 995TS was the carbine for me.

When I first saw it, I thought it was hideous. But after going home to mull it over and doing some searching on the interwebz it has certainly grown on me and I have yet to find ANY complaints from people that have actually owned a Hi-Point. Only complaints are from people who have never owned them and who would rather spend $1500 on a weapon based on name.

Anyways, I am stocked up on practice rounds and ready to hit a gun range, only have to wait for the weekend now. Maybe I can find a Hi Point carbine support group around my area, seems like they are highly popular.

What part of Lower Alabama you from?

I ask, cause I go out to the Wilcox firing range and I know its just a little east of Mobile, if your around that way you probably go there as well.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome all  Cheesy

I'm in Fairhope.  Wilcox (Styx River) is where I shoot also. Had the TS out there a couple of weeks ago but only shot it on the pistol range.  There were four of us shooting other stuff but everyone really had fun with the 995TS.  Send me a PM and maybe we can get together for a little informal shoot.  I'm busy for the next week but should be free after that.  I'm retired so I can get out to shoot most anytime.   Cheesy

Glad to see Ida was a no show, she petered out and only brought us a little rain.

But, yeah the Hi Point addiction has grown, already went out and bought a C9.

Anyways, since it is my only addiction, well shooting guns isnt near as bad as other addictions.
