I got to  talk to an attorney about the whole gun situation.. (earlier post)The guy's pro gun... LOL but he's been around for 33 years, and hasn't lost a self defense case yet. He also said that it's looking good in my favor, that I should get off. I just need 2 grand to retain him. if he gets it thrown out on the 19th.. it'll be 3500 total. If it goes to trial, it'll be 7500. He said that after the 2 grand, he'll work with me with the rest. I just need 2 grand.. I'm flat out broke.

Is there a story behind why you need a lawyer, or...?

Well aside for the fact that i got a night in jail for defending myself and my family, the gun's at the police station and even though the charges I'm against are misdemeanors... it can pretty much ruin me as for my chances as to go into law enforcement... I really didn't have a reason to go see a lawyer. Nope... Nothing to hide. I posted what happened a while back.. I gotta find the post.

Well here's the story.. cant find the post... but long story short, me and my fiancee was taking her son back to his daddy, we pulled up and he charged us so I got out to stop him. He went swinging and i pulled out the pistol and told him to stop or I'll shoot him. So he calls the cops and I get arrested. It's not something I wanted to do.. but when you have some crazy trying to hurt you and your family.. You have few choices.

Pretty simple all you have to do is convince 12 other people thats what you had to do.

i personally wouldnt have pulled it out and said that unless i was shooting..... saying that and not doing it gives him his chance to beat you in court......pulling trigger he wouldnt be sitting there defending himself casue you feared for your life, which is the only reason to draw a weapon right?

What do the laws in Georgia look like?  Are they going to nail you on him not having a weapon and you possibly having an escape route?  Not saying or implying that anything did or did not happen, just tossing that out there.

No offense, but I hear your arse sizzling as I type this up.
You Sir, whether you like it or not... have given the CWP holders of America a bad image. You got out of your vehicle, pulled a pistol, and threatened a man on his own property. That my friend is what I would call reckless endangerment. If you pulled the pistol in fear of your life, you would have pulled the trigger too. The fact of the matter is, since you didn't pull the trigger, you pulled your pistol out to SCARE someone. You were on his property... Please realize that if he had a buddy standing by with a pistol of his own... he would have been able to waste you - right then and there. Legally. You will probably lose your 2A rights with this one, I cannot see a future as an LEO with this on your record. What amazes me most is we are both the same age, but yet I know the difference between a self defense situation and trying to impress your old lady by pulling  a pistol out to defend her honor.
The best thing I can offer you is to pay all of the money in the world to an attorney, because you will not win, but at least you may not have to face a stint in the penitentiary for your actions.
