toss up between 9mm and 22lr
mainly because my first three hanguns were 380. I liked them until I shot a 9mm then i was like holy shat. Screw 380.
then 22lr because of how cheap they are and i like to shoot alot.

For casual shooting, the .22LR. Cheap, low noise and recoil, lots of different guns available.
For other uses, probably 9mm. Cheap in bulk, cheap to reload, enough power to get the job done, lots of ammo in a hi-cap mag, and lots of different guns chambered in it.

7.62X39. Cheap, plenty of bullet, not too much kick. Now if I could just find a handgun in that caliber...

+100! I don't need a pistol if I have an SKS carbine or AK with a 16 inch barrel.

My favorite is what ever I have at the time I need / want at the time, from 22's to 20ga. to centerfire rifle / pistol. Some I probably will never have, but that doesn't make them a bad choice,IMO.

45-70. I load my own so i dont have to pay $2 a shot for factory ammo. I have never had a deer I shot run more than three or four inches. makes tracking them down REAL easy Defensive, .40 sw. lighter and higher capacity than .45, and still has 500lbs of energy.

My favorite out of all of them is .357 Magnum Magnum love the sound of that [/quote Hmmm... .357 lever action rifle and a 4 inch stainless revolver... sounds like good medicine to me. However, I am more inclined to go with, as an overall round .22lr. IMO it gets alot less credit than it deserves. Having said that, I am also pretty intrigued by the 995/c9 combo with extra 995 mags. A little more umph than the .22 and after the first mag from the c9, you have mag interchangability. Of course, for hunting, I lean towards .308. Very versitile and common. I don't own one, so then I have to look at 7.62x54r and 7.5x55.
