Props to the Centre County Sheriff department. I sent in my application and check for both my Pennsylvania CCW and C&R on Thursday, October 29, figuring both would take a substantial amount of time, Wednesday the 4th the Pennsylvania permit was in the mail, and I made a quick inquiry, and the check for my C&R had already been processed.
Come to think about it, my North Dakota permit only took about 2 weeks.... I guess I've never had to fight the curse of looooong processing times!

I had a quick turn around with them as well, 8 days from the time I mailed the app and money, i had the paper in my hands. Too bad it is so big... I had it laminated and it barely goes in my bill fold. my one from kansas is just like a drivers license. I guess I assumed they would all be that way...

As did I, the NoDak one is similar size and material as a drivers license. I, as well figured it would have been the same, I'll just have to find a way to make it fit!

There are some counties in PA where they will issue to residents on the spot and other areas where it takes a week or two. In PA the law gives 30 days to approve or deny, a week or two is the norm. My PA LTC is about the size of a drivers license, just slightly larger.

I assume you have a resident permit? With your picture and all? If so, then apparently they send different ones in the mail to out of staters who dont show up in person. The one I got i the mail was the size of a small post card, and said valid without picture.
