How can a resident of Tenn. fill out all the papers and get a Florida CCW permit? I would think he would have had to be a resident of Florida. Just don't know. Any thoughts or comments? Thanks for a great forum and love my HP's.

Doesn't Florida accept TN CCW licenses? If so, why do you need another one? Just wondering.

OK, this is why he got a florida CCW. He and his brother in law went into a LGS and the owner (who teaches CCW classes) asked if he had a CCW and he said not yet. The owner then tells him for $75, he would fill out all the legal papers for him and all he had to do is mail them in when he gets home. Now you know, the rest of the story.

So, he's getting one because it's $75? Why not come to AL, ours is $10.

Many people "collect" multiple CCW permits from various states that offer "non-resident" permits. With the patchwork of reciprocity agreements amongst the states that have CCW permits, one can legally carry in a whole bunch of them with the right selection.

I'll give you an example of why I have an AZ permit. AZ honors it and FL also honors it, but NV does not. NV does honor the FL permit. So I would get a FL permit along with my AZ permit so I could carry in NV.

Bastages. I knew they stopped honoring the UT permit, but didn't know about FL. Thanks.

Yeah no prob. I found that out when I got my CCL from Florida, it came with a notice about reciprocity and the otherside had the info about that.
