My favorite brand is "On Sale."
I really don't like Winchester ammo in any form that I've tried. I've shot mostly imports.
I do like Aguila, PMC, Fiocchi, and any of the Russian brands I have gotten.
S&B would make the list, except that they use brass for their jacket material (which I don't like), so they fall into the "buy it if you have to have some ammo" category.
I haven't had any Federal for years, but I like their rimfire and shotgun shells, so they get an Honorable Mention.
I've got two boxes of Blazer Brass waiting their turn through the 995, so I don't know about them yet.
PMC is a little dirty in my experience, but not too bad. YMMV

Winchester ammo just doesn't impress me a whole lot until you get into the more high dollar stuff.

i got a couple of boxes on a trade. probably would not have bought them, but figured i would give them a try since they are "premium." they shoot straight, but are dirty. i've been trying to stay away from winchester's ammo. it can be hard because wally world is really stock heavy with the wwb 115gr fmj.

Yeah I use their WWB for plinking, but for self defense I prefer the more expensive stuff.

Natchez and Sportsmen's GUide tend to be pretty high. J&G Sales is a better alternative (as I'm sure the locals in AZ will back me up).
Ammunition to Go is generally cheaper that either Natchez or SG - and their customer service is great!
I got a call today that the cheap S&B 9mm FMJ ammo I ordered (hey, it was $11.50/box) was sold out, so would I accept a substitution of GeCo 9mm NATO ammo instead? Order was packed and shipped as of 2 hours ago.

Agreed. I was plinking with some Winchester Super X 22lr ammo yesterday and had FTF's about every ten rounds, and the last round blew out it's casing in the chamber. Never had that problem with CCI stuff.
