I would really like to add a flashlight to the forestock of my 995, preferably something with a remote switch by the pistol grip.  Does anyone have a suggestion for a flashlight?  How about mounting options, obviously there is no rail, has anyone had any luck adding a rail to the stock?  Thanks.

Well it doesn't have a remote switch BUT I put a minimag on my 4095 by replacing the laser in the mount with the minimag

With an LED bulb it works good for indoor use anyways, plus the LED can stand the shock of the recoil

I considered that also but I really like the ability to control my light without dismounting my weapon.

Here's how I mounted mine.

I bought the ATI rails they make for their 995 stock, drilled holes in the side of my classic, mounted the rail, then used a UTG 1" flashlight mount and mounted the light.

EDIT: I have the pressure switch on the fore part of the stock as you can see in the pictures.  The flashlight is a COAST with pressure switch and end cap push button switch if you want it to stay on without using the pressure switch.

What coast flashlight is that?  Do you know what the Lumens are?  Cost?  I was actually looking at a coast on my lunch break but I wasn't sure how it would work.

I got the rail from CTD I think...seems like it was about $14 shipped.

Here's the flashlight I bought - http://www.opticsplanet.net/coast-flashlights-ll7736ts.html
And here's the pressure switch - http://www.opticsplanet.net/coast-flashlight-accessories-ll7733ts.html

Prices have gone up a bit, I gave $12 for that pressure switch...  That light is 149 lumens, and it works amazingly well.  The range on it seems almost endless, it's a great tactical light!

Thanks again.  I ordered a rail and a vertical grip about an hour ago and that light looks like a good addition next pay check.

No problem, I've been very happy with mine on there, and the little recess in the stock is just perfect for that pressure switch!  Though I'll go ahead and tell you not to waste your time with the velcro strip that the pressure switch comes with, if you live in an area where it gets very warm at all it'll come loose.  I just used super glue on mine to keep it on there.

I've been looking at a CAA laser/light combo....69.95. They make a 3/8 dovetail to picatinny adapter, which will mount to the underside of the 995 compensator perfect and your combo mounts to the picatinny rail. The light is 150 lumens and the laser is adjustable. It also comes with a pressure switch. I think this addition will look and function pretty decent. I'll post pics when I get the set up.

I ordered a rail and vertical grip that I'm going to mount on the underside of the rifle today.  I haven't ordered a light yet.  I like the coast but I'm still shopping I hate to spend 50 bucks +mount on a light for a rifle I bought for 75.  On a side note I disassembled my 995 for the first time today.  I found a lot of galling on the bolt.  Sear has a fair amount of wear and the firing pin is ever so slightly bent.  Time to package her up for a trip to Florida.
