I have one of those uncle mike's holsters with the thumb break retention strap.  my question is, when i set it up to wear it, do i have it so that i force the button towards my body, or away from my body?

Towards your body, you use your thumb to pop it as you assume a grip to draw it. Your thumbs are closest to your body.

I got one of these holsters whenI bought my JHP 45 last Monday. I think it will be a great holster when I get my pistol back from the mothership. Also got a shoulder holster that i dont think will see any pistol time, too dang hard to figure out .
