Hi everyone,
I just purchased my TS last Thursday and took it out on Saturday,
I had a few problems with the TS and not my 995.
The magazines would not stay locked in the mag well.I thought that maybe it was due to them being new. So I switched it with the ones from my 995.This still did not seem to solve the problem. They still only stayed lock part of the time.
The LRHO was working properly but the charging handle was stuck wide open and took some great effort to get to return to the closed position.
At first I thought that this was due to the firearm being new and it needed to be broken in.
I thought that maybe the action needed some lube so i did add a little.
This seemed to help the problem a little for a while and then it started to act up again.
I double checked that the charging handle was not overtightened. It was not.
The other problem I had was not being able to get it zeroed in. It was always shooting to the right no matter how much I adjusted the rear sight. I will try and readjust as per the blog on the forum to see if I can get it zeroed.
All in all I am not very happy with this purchase as compared to my 995 purchase.
If I can not get this straightened out it will go back to the factory to be repaired.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all for your help.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the TS. mine has been great right out of the box for just over 1000 rounds. I do have to smack the mags in firmly to get them to seat and stay locked. Just thought it was the way it is, doesn't bother me.

Shadow,

I'm having the same issue with my 995TS. I figured it was because the uni was new and needed to be broken in. It's getting better, but the fact that someone else has the exact same issue makes me feel it's not just mine, but a break-in that needs to happen...

I just got back from the redneck range where my son and I put about 80 soda cans and a rotten pumpkin out of their misery using a 995TS, a Henry Repeater .22 and a Bersa Thunder 380 pistol. The 380 was on it's maiden voyage after a quick trip in to the warranty center for a little reliability tune-up and replacement of a missing retention washer and clip. It was flawless with about 80 rounds or so. Fun gun to shoot. The Henry was just awesome in it's ease of use and accuracy and reliability. I really like the open sights on that little bugger. The 995 was sure fun to shoot, and we only had one magazine fall out because my son was unfamiliar with the gun and didn't realize it had to be firmly seated in the mag well. It was flawless through 50 rounds of MagTech FMJ, 100 rounds of WWB FMJ, but it really didn't like the factory reloaded "Police Ammunition" from HSM. Out of 150 rounds it had about 10 nose up FTF jams. I think I may put a scope on the 995. I think I'll leave the Henry Repeater as is.

My 5 year old grandson cracked me up when we were gathering up soda cans afterward. He kept saying "Wow, look at that huge exit! Wow, there's another one." What a hoot.

Great day.
