OK, keep in mind this only my second gun ever, but I really didn't like the "manual" that came with my C9.  It's basic to the point that it really doesn't tell you much.  My first gun, a Phoenix HP22A, came with a very nice, detailed manual with lots of diagrams.  I had absolutely no questions about how to properly operate the pistol in every way.  With the C9, I'm not sure, for instance, how to get the gun out of the "locked back" position for storage after the final round is fired.  I think I must release the mag, then pull the slide back and "ease it down" (not let it slam forward since it's not chambering anything), but the manual doesn't say.  I'd like to know for sure.  Anyway, to me, the manual needs some work.

You are correct about how to release the slide.  That's a good point...I never really thought about it before, and probably most of us gun enthusiasts haven't either.  It wouldn't be a bad idea at all to make the manual a bit more friendly for the people new to guns in general.  Props to you for a good suggestion!

I'd love it if the manual had regular maintenance procedures documented. My Mossberg manual has complete take-down steps. Even a page about what to clean, when to clean, and basic troubleshooting would be great...

Maybe us users here on the forums who have the technical and firearms knowhow could make a PDF manual for newbies to download and view? I mean i'd be nice for hi point to do it to but seems to me this is a problem we can solve right here guy.
