Hello, I think my jhp45 is going to go back to the mothership. i bought it used and the mag ears are off and the shell while going into battery gets lodged under the firing pin. Don't think the firing pin is supposed to stick out when working the slide. If anybody has any ideas, let me know but its going home for a while. Thanks, Andy

Sounds like the firing pin is sticking, go ahead and sent it in. There is a sticky that shows how to pack it and which center to send it to.

Sent my new baby off today via FedEx and insured for $10. But she'll be like a brand new one when she gets back. Wonder how long it will take to return? We'll find out soon I guess.

Make sure the weapon is unloaded chamber an all

Insert and empty mag

Point weapon in safe direction

Dry fire or better yet use a snap cap

At this point the firing pin will be in the forward position that is normal

It should however not be visible after the striker/pin is cocked via pulling the slide all the way to the rear
