I bought a new .45 last Friday and took it out to the range Saturday. After 60+ rounds through it(mixed UMC and WWB) before my fingers got too cold to pull the trigger, I LOVE the beast! Perfect function right out of the box.
I think that it's easier to shoot than my SR9 although I haven't shot them both in the same session yet.

When I got it home I was loading mags and found that I couldn't stuff anything into one of them. Closer inspection revealed that it was of the .40 persuasion. Embarrassed

The guy that sold it to me reports that there was a mixup at the factory, the others he had in stock are the same and a replacement is on the way.
I only mention it so that anyone buying mags in the near future knows to take a look at what's stamped on the side of the mag rather than taking the package at face value.

So you took it to the range and fired a box or so of ammo through it with no problems, but at home you couldn't load it because the mags were wrong?

Sorry, my chronology must have been ambiguous...  I took it home, loaded two of the three mags and then discovered that no amount of finagling would get a .45 ACP round into the third (.40) mag. It was only then that I looked at the inscription on the sheet metal.
So I took two mags to the range, shot... grinned... shot... loaded and grinned... shot... etc. I don't think that there's a smiley available to match the grin I had on my face!
The weather is s'posed to be decent tomoroow so I am practicing my grinning tonight.  Cheesy

I'm gonna buy a Hi-Point .40 to go with it, of course Wink

It already went back to my friendly vendor who promises to send me .45 magazine as soon as they ship them to him.
After today's session at the range,  I decided that I need more than three anyway, so I came home and ordered two more from Hi-Point's Web site.
