A guy at work says he has one to sell.  What is one worth?  I don't know if it has ever been shot.  He says he never did.  Not sure about any other prior owner.  With that in mind is there a place to check serial numbers to see if a potential purchase won't have any surprises?

They got between 1000-1200 new.  A lot of people say that they're no better than a 22 mag or hornet, don't listen to them.  The 5.7 is an amazing round, and the  FiveSeven is a superb handgun, if I could afford one I'd have it in a heartbeat.

Yea call your local PD and have them run the numbers. They can tell you if its stolen or anything like that.

not knowing its history, probably 800 at the most unless he has a pile of ammo with it.  have the PD run its serial first though.

I was just thinking about this and thought others might find it interesting: will the value/desirability of the 5.7 go up or down (or be unaffected) now that it has been used in the Fort Hood attack?

Buddy of mine picked one up at the dealer for 750. It was complete with 3 mags. Make sure you get all 3. Take a look at the 5.7 forum. They have alot of info on them to include load data!!!!

new they run about 900 by me for what it's worth. Biggest issue I have with them is that it's kinda a very select ammo, as in not many other guns use it, just the two. If more firearms used it and it gained greater use I'd get one for sure, I just don't wana end up with a thousand doller paperweight down the road if the ammo falls outa use.

They have adopted a 5.7x28 ar upper the accepts P90 mags. That hing is pretty trick. That is a move in the right direction for that round! That little round packs ALOT of punch. I have done some reading up on the terminal ballistic of that round and I wasnt very impressed.

Then I started reading some of the after action reviews when that round has been used in LEO shootings and that is on deadly projectile!

it basically packs the ballistics of a 5.56mm into a pistol package.  ive thought about it, but i just acant justify dropping a grand on a pistol in an oddball caliber.

He is asking $500 with only one 20 rd mag. He said he had a 40 rd but someone borrowed it and never gave it back. Local GS has one for over a grand.  They said they are selling well now because people feel it will be banned because of the Ft Hood incident.  They expect pricing to double or triple if banned.

So, local PD can run the number?  I heard there was a wed site you an enter serial numbers for a check.  Anyone heard about that?

They don't make a 40 round, only the std. 20 and the ext. 30.  And for 500, jump on it.  And google gun serial number check, and go ahead and call the pd.

can also hollow out the guts of an ar mag, to catch all of your empties, since the shells drop out through the mag well. I was looking at one at the LGS
