I didn't want to hi-jack the (Retro Christmas) thread
with this one but..

1. What was your very first console system and game memories?

Mine was the Nintendo NES.. that came with Super Mario World and
Duck Hunt.

Best memories was a friend who was at the end of The Legend of
Zelda, when we lost power...lol

Had another friend who went into a rage during Punch Out as he
never could get passed the sandman...

Hey we were just kids back then  Azn

The first console I owned was an N64 because my parents wouldn't buy me consoles until then... I played PC since I was about 3 though.  Good ol' Duke Nukem side scroller, Wolfenstein, Nighmare 3D, Doom, Heretic, etc.

I have fond memories of playing Duck Hunt/Super Mario at my cousin's house.  Also Mario Kart and Top Gear on my friend's SNES Smiley  Goldeneye was always a hit too when we were in middle school and some of high school.

Well Jazz I did hijack the other thread  Embarrassed and my first game consoles are listed there....and believe it or not...those are the only ones I've ever owned.

Here they are in all their glory:

The Telstar,  got this back in the 70's baby!!

And of course my Oddessey2, had possibly the worst games ever...but hey it had a keyboard...so I felt like a genius using it!

Jazz I have the same memory. First console was the Nintendo and I had Super Mario with Duck Hunt on it. I still have mine too and still play it every once in awhile. It's kind of a pain to finally get the thing going though.

First videogames were playing Space Wars and Boot Hill in the arcade with my dad.

First home videogame experiences was, yep, Telstar Pong at a neighbor's house.

First console I had was, yep, the 2600.  Space Invaders, Missile Command, and Combat baby!

I held onto that 2600 until last year and sold it on eBay along with my NES and PS1.

I still have my N64 and spare (Goldeneye!!!!!111!!11eleventy-one), and found a Dreamcast at the transfer station which I hope to clean up and get running someday..

PS3 is where I get my weekly console fix, though.

That IS the original home video game console!! Like Mason said they will fetch a very pretty penny! Especially with the original packaging.

Yeah man, a while back I was looking for one for lulz and they were going for a couple hundred dollars, and that was without packaging and cables.  You could get a pretty penny for those in the original box with games and whatnot.  Hardcore retro collectors love that old crap lol.

E.T. and the grapics were bad.. even for that time
period.

that ET game never worked.  i could never ever ever figure out what the freakin point of that game was.  it was ET mixed with indiana jones or something.  that game was the most retarded thing ever mass produced in the history of mankind.

wow, apparently i still have strong emotions tied to that game.   it was that bad

My first system was the NES when I was 5 or 6 and my earliest memories of it were of playing Contra and if I died I remember always using the select button to take my brothers extra life. I still remember him being pissed.
