That ET game sucked.

Bomber, I have no idea how you did that either lol.  I pwned some srs face at both Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.  I still play them both with a fair bit of regularity even today.

I loved PD, it was the most epic game evar.  I generally ran around multiplayer using either the AR34 or the dual CMP150s.  On occasion I'd switch it up but those were definitely my favorites.  I can't wait for it to release on the XBL arcade...online multiplayer, updated graphics, etc.  It's gonna be epic win!

Earliest video game memory was when I was about 6 or so and went to Disney World in FL.  That was about 1973-74.  The hotel we stayed in had 3 video games in the front lobby.  They were your Pongs put into cocktail style cabinets.  I was entranced by them.  Then around 1976 my parents bought me a Telstar original like someone posted in this thread.  2 years later was the Atari 2600.  In 1980, I got a real Atari computer and bypassed most of the competing video game systems like the Colecovision, Intellivision and so forth since I had a real computer that had better graphics than both of thm.

Started back into consoles around 1989 when my wife and I bought a NES and then a Genesis.

Been buying systems ever since.

my first system was the NES that came with super mario bros. 3. that game is still my favorite so is drunking duck hunt.

one thing i remember about all those old NES games was how F'ing hard most were.  I would throw the controller and rant and rave when i was little LOL.  this brings back memories how many people remember always blowing in the NES cartridges to get them to work? and i remember back in the day you always bought or rented a game based on the cover art.

Yep, I don't really miss the days of having to perform magic rituals to get your game to work.  For me to play Duck Hunt, I have to blow in the cart. then insert and remove it twice, blow on it again, and then insert again (gah...you could have all sorts of fun with that one lol) and then I can start cappin' ducks Tongue

I remember when I was a praying man most of my prayers probably went to trying to get games to work right.

first memory was playing a "pinball wizard" electro mechinical pinball at my rich uncles house at age 4 or 5.  had the atari 2600 and then moved into computers for the most part.  never got hooked on console gaming as computers always held my attention fully.  i didnt buy another console until the Wii came out as it was unique compared to the others on the market with motion controllers.

My first gaming memory was when I was around...4-5 years old? It was on my cousins atari 2600. Loved me some battle tanks and berzerker.

Then dad accidentally won me an NES with mario and legend of zelda. At a local grocery store he saw a boat full of pepsi cans....It said "guess the closest number of cans and win. He thought he was guessing to win the boat....anyway he got a call saying he won a nintendo. Lol of course this was foreign to dad and they explained it was a video game system.

I shat bricks when dad brought it  home. There was NO WAY at that point that dad would have "wasted"money on a game system. lol

This was back in 88 or so. Played both games to death and then got tecmo super bowl and super mario 3...i was an addict.

I do remember one day I came home not long after getting the system and dad was trying to play mario bros. lol I was soooo excited.

Well Jazz I did hijack the other thread  Embarrassed and my first game consoles are listed there....and believe it or not...those are the only ones I've ever owned.

Here they are in all their glory:

The Telstar,  got this back in the 70's baby!!

And of course my Oddessey2, had possibly the worst games ever...but hey it had a keyboard...so I felt like a genius using it!

Hey, that looks like my first Pong game!

Yeah PD was the shat! I was SO disappointed by PD Zero. It froze at the same spot every time I played it and there was NOTHING wrong with the disc.
