Star Date 11/19/2009

Went into a local Wally World to see how the ammo
supplies were coming.

Lots of birdshot and .22's ok time to check out the
handgun calibers.

What did they have plenty of? .357 Sig! everything
else was missing.

No one seems to use .357 Sigs here-- all 3 Wally WOrld in my town have the same couple of boxes and have had for months...my closest Wal Mart has .22 and usually a box of 44mag aand every so often 9mm, but that's it...I check 3 times a week.. the Academy next door to it has everything almost pistol wise EXCEPT the usuall missing .380 and lately .45acp-- 9mm steel and brass monarch, WWB, NATO white box are usually always in stock, as are .40sw, .357 mag, .38 special, .44mag, .45lc, and .500SW..it has been good ammo wise for us comparatively-- and figures, I sold my .32 FEG sometime back becasause no ammo, and we have had a glut of .32acp over the last 2 months...oh well..

Lots of WWB 9mm this afternoon, and even 10 boxes of WWB .45ACP 100 rd packs for $33. I bought one box due to lack of funds  reallysad
Lots of .40SW, no .32ACP and no .380.
.223 was there as was a few boxes of 7.62x39, but that stuff is waaaaay overpriced.

No shortage of shotgun loads here. More winchester ammo than any other brand, but kinda spotty there. .357 SIG,.223, a little bit of assorted .22 and .32, but at least they seem to be keeping about ten boxes of my .40 on hand! I buy another box whenever I can squeeze the cash out of my change container just in case that suddenly dries up too!

Strange.  All of the stores around here have been completely out of .22LR for months.  I recently got a box of .22short, but absolutely NO ONE has .22LR.

just got some winchester high velocity .40 grn .22 for 5 bucks for 100. Not the best deal but Im currently testing .22lr ammo in my Sig Mosquito. It seems to like the heavier bullets. Most of your bulk pack are 37 grain I believe. They where out of every other type and all 9mm. The guy working there said they get shipments every morning at 7am, except mondays because the trucks don't go out on sunday. There must be people there at 7am every morning hordeing all the ammo.

that's why walmarts now have a daily limit. Most are 6 boxes/day/person. I have seen 4 though.

A local farm and tractor shop had a ton of ammunition in stock covering everything a shooter could want, word got out and a mass of shooters wiped out almost all of the stock in one day. I got lucky and my friend (An Employee) got me inside the store a few minutes before they unlocked the doors. I spent close to $1000.00 mostly cases of .22LR, 9mm and I scored on small and large pistol primers, powder and plated lead bullets in .45acp

Believe it or not the prices were really good rivaling Wal-Mart on the .22LR and 9mm, the primers were fairly priced for todays market and the powder and bullets were standard price.

Not too bad of a find I would say.

Ours has had a fairly steady supply of a half-dozen or so WWB 9mm and a couple-three boxes of WWB .40.  They also generally have one or two boxes of Remington 9mm FMJ for the same $11.47.  Every so often there would be a 100-count box or two as well.

What they FINALLY got back in yesterday was the Federal .22LR bulk packs that I've been trying to find for a month and a half.
