Argggh! I shoulda coulda, didn't buy this very decent .38 snubnose I found at the pawnshop up in the city for only 130 bucks. It seemed to be some no name brand but it was very good lookin, weird thing was it had light yellow handles, I haven't seen anything like it. I declined to buy it though after they took a look at my sawed off shotgun and said they weren't comfortable stocking their shelves with it, even though it was legal! I'm thinking about going back and buying that darned revolver though, gosh.......once you buy one pistol, you want em all! They called it a "Rogue" but I searched and searched and thats either a brand, or a term I don't know for a pistol, any info?

PS: Forgive my complete and total lack of knowledge on the subject. My Hi-point c9 was the first pistol I ever owned and that was only bought 3 weeks ago Smiley. I love it though, handgunning I mean, so I would love to buy one or 2 or 3 more to build up my collection, and cheap guns get my attention fast! I guess until I actually fire an expensive gun I wont know why people pay so much Smiley.

as long as it isnt a worn out POS its worht it.  look for things like loose cylinder lockup, lots of forcing cone shaving marks, loose or damaged screws, heavy wear on any moving parts.  those are all deal killers for a wheelgun unless you are lookin gfor a fixer-upper.

Just what SW just stated. This pawn shop here has some .38spl pistols that I wouldn't even give $5 for, they are that bad. So, make sure you handle the gun, look it over REAL good.

Could the "Rogue" be an "RG" or "ROHM"? Potmetal frames, I have seen a few that have cracked the grip where the mainspring exerts pressure. They go bang, but are not known for durability or accuracy.

RG /Rohm were known absolute POS .22's, .25's and .32's but actually made a decent .38 spl for some reason. I wouldn't stake my life on one but still...........

Yep, you guys were right, it was a Rohm. I appreciate all the input and went back today to check it out a bit more. Unfortunately the gun spoke for itself as it refused to properly close, and after it did the hammer didn't properly work. Guess that decision was easy. Thanks a bunch for the input everyone, I appreciate it.

If it is a RG I would be cautious of the price. Do a search for
RG, on Gunbroker to check prices.

I have a Rohm .22short some where, absolute POS but it does go bang about 50% of the time and at 5yds it shoots fairly well.

I had my inlaws hold on to it for a while but they are bringing it over at thanks giving.

Here is how it grouped at aproximatly 5-7 yds

LOL I know it's ugly! it's uglier than my Hi-Points will ever be! it's still pretty fun and given to me by my wife's uncle who is now deceased so it does have some emotional value to me.
