My gundealer/pawnshop has a Ruger P-95 used for $299.is that too much?i waqas thinking about
putting it on layaway butthere's 2 things that bother me for that price.it's a bit heavy and it
has black plastic grips that are crazy ugly to me and feal like a toy.im sure i could change the
grips so it's no big deal.

$299 isn't bad, but I'd probably offer him $250 for it and see if he'd take that. For whatever reason, gun stores don't want to give you crap for Ruger pistols and then will sell them for a whole lot more. If I had to guess, he probably has about $180 in the gun. Most gun stores offered me $250 for my P345 and had used ones selling for $420 or so.
I really liked that P345, it was a nice, quality pistol. I think you'll be happy with the P-95 if you pick it up. The grips are quite ugly, but they do the job. You could put one of those Hogue slip on grips on it if you preferred that.

yea i would deff put the hogue on it.i'll see if they will come down on it but i doubt it. |

I have a new P95(blued version, with 2 15rd mags) that I got a few weeks ago. I had mine ordered from galleryofguns.com for $284.....$320 with fees. Had it the next afternoon.

I got mine a few weeks ago too.....I love it!! IMO its not heavy until I put 15 rounds in it. I have put 150-200 rounds through it and it has been flawless.
Buds was selling them shipped for 300 last time I looked (add in a $25 transfer fee) and I think 300 used is way to much.

I paid $329 NEW + state tax + instant check for P95 blue at Cabela's Hamburg PA in Aug, 2009.
Fine weapon. High fit/finish. No FTF or FTE in over 250 rounds. Two (2) 15 round stainless steel magazines and hard case included with initial purchase. 20% off first $100 of purchases from Ruger website if you register warranty on-line. Got three (3) 15 round stainless steel mags and nifty hats at 20% off!
Did I mention the magazines were heavy-duty Stainless Steel?

that's about average price for used...haggle a bit and they should lower that price.
i have the p89 and it is a awesome gun, have 3 15 round mags.

Have the P95 and it's a good gun. No complaints with it. I would definitely try to haggle a bit though. That's how much I payed for mine new.

I agree with Raygam. Why pay $299 used when you can get a new one for a dollar more. By the way if you buy it from some place like buds gun shop as Raygam did you save the sales tax too. My ffl does transfers for $15 a gun so look around in your area. Buds can even find you a dealer in your area that is already set up with them. You should offer the pawn shop a price. At least give them a chance to say no. Tell you what you want to pay. If they say no then go elsewhere
