I have been trying to figure out why the 8/11 sounded familiar and I realised why.  I have a convention booked already for that weekend in High Point, so I won't be able to make the shoot Sad

Noooooo! I refuse to let you go to a convention! You will be there britboy!

convention be damned!!!!!  you are REQUIRED to be there!    we're having our own convention, a convention of FIREARMS and assorted other gunpowder related blowup thingys.  besides, thought you might like to shoot an original Bren gun fromm WW2 and an original MG43 that one of my friends has promised to bring.  yes he has his class 3, and also a ton of ammo.......anybody game for a little full auto fun?

I agree, who would he rather piss off, gun toting convention, or barbie doll convention (or whatever it, still not as good as ours!)

Ok, I've gone from disappointed to mildly hateful, despite the outpouring of.... whatever it is y'all outpouring Smiley  I missed the Arfcom Carolina shoot the other day too, again missing out of Class III stuff Sad

<cue sad music>  This is Bowen.  Bowen has never gotten to shoot a Class III firearm.  Due to government BS and poverty, he may never get to shoot full auto.  For only 25c a day, you can help Bowen get the necessary ammo and companions to save him from a lack of rock n' roll.  Please, give generously  <sad Bowen picture, standing in front of meagre semi-auto rifles>

Enough to bring a tear to your eye.........

Now, I would bail on the con and come rock with my <something> out with you guys, but alas if I bail I put my buddy in a world of hurt paying for the rooms (in his name) all on his ownsome.  Plus, I'm running a couple of the games, so I'd be ditching on folks too.....

So... Play feast well my brethren, sup to your hearts content and spray much lead downrange.  Raise a glass for your absent comrades and laugh your arses off at our wailing and gnashing of teeth!
