Earlier this month MKS announced plans to give away a whole basketful of brand-new active (visible) laser systems to lucky Hi Point fans between now and December 19.

    The laser

The trigger guard laser offered by LaserLyte for the Hi Point pistol comes in two different versions. One for the C380/C9, the other for the JCP/JHP. Between these two, there is a mount and laser for each handgun that MKS has in the stable.

The mount conforms to the Hi Point frame seamlessly, blending in with the dustcover and trigger guard to look like it came that way right from the factory. Truth be told, MKS is selling several variants from the factory with these LaserLyte modules as a package.

Nevertheless, if you already own your Hi Point, installation of one of these systems (MSRPd at $104) takes about five minutes with the aid of a Phillips head screwdriver.

    UTA-HAB Laser Specs:

Hi-Point and MKS are giving away five (5) of these laser kits. Well the good news is, it is a no-purchase necessary contest, which means everyone, everywhere (provided they are at least 18, a legal U.S. resident, and can legally possess a firearm) can give it a shot.

If you win, they'll contact your on Dec.23rd so watch out for calls from unfamiliar numbers that day as if you don't respond within two days of that, they look for the next winner (which means watch your phone on the 26th-ish as well!). In past contests they have asked winners to send in a W9 as the $104.95 value of the laser could have tax implications for the winner but they haven't mentioned it in this contest, so that may not be a thing anymore.

To enter, head on over to the Hi Point website and click on the sweepstakes header between now and Dec. 13. A winner will be chosen Dec. 22 from a randomized process, but Hi Point stresses that there is a limit of one (1) entry per Entrant during the Sweepstakes Period.

    Full contest rules are here

(*Note: scroll down to the bottom and clock, 'I agree to the sweepstakes rules' to get to the entry form which asks for simple name, address, birth-date and email info)

Good luck and if you win, give us a rundown of how you like the laser. We would like to know!
