Never mind. I finally received the catch assembly from HP. My mag was falling out. It seems that the previous owner took the right hand grip off and lost the magazine catch spring, that's why the button felt so mushy. All I had to do was to put the new spring in and presto!!
I am bit disappointed in HP service. I waited over 2 weeks for the part and when I called them they told me to call back in 2 days if I didn't get it. It turns out that they didn't have any record of me calling them in the first place.
I received the part in 3 days after the second request.
