Everything you buy or own there is always some person that will use your item to discount you in a sneaky way. When your car "sucks", your gun "sucks", your camera "sucks",then they can imply that you "suck"; and that's what they wanted to do all along. But, they are too cowardly to come right out and say it.

It gets carried to other sectors as well some gun shops wont take a trade in if its a hipoint, and some just have closed minds refusing to believe.
My jhp 45 will eat about anything I feed it,as a cc no to big for a small person like me but as a home defense that will not fail,be hard to beat for same money, like as in where, what. They generally reply some kind of glock yet not any where near same price range.
The 380 and c9 some do cc with, while possibly larger than other 380 and 9mm still small enough.Hardly anyone compares them to full size pistols just the newer pocket alloy wonders.
Is it massive yes due to blowback design, think tad less recoil due to that weight as well,is it sorta ugly yes to me glocks are as well, considering its 300 cheaper I can live with what others think about it.Bought it for home defense a gun that will not fail, not finiky will eat anything and has less recoil with 165 hydra shock than a 9mm full size shooting +P.
Enjoy that 380.And what others think its of little concern.

As said in comments already, some people are just going to hate regardless. As long as your happy with your purchase, thats all that matters.

Im in the same boat as lilmule as far as thinking that glocks are "ugly", they are nice shooting guns and all, i just dont like the aesthetics of them.

It doesn't matter what you have there is someone who thinks they know better. I have a JC40 I bought last month for $70 and it shoots just fine. I also have a Springfield custom shop 1911 that I paid over $1,200 for and several dozen in bewtween because plain and simple I like guns!

While shooting at a match with my 1911 I had a guy with a custom Colt Elite ask me why I would waste that much money on "a wanna be imitation" instead of buying a real colt. My point? It's like my Dad told me when I was growing up; no matter how good you are at something there is always some other guy who thinks he is better! (and I outshot the smart ass at the match that day...)

If it gets me $50 guns .. sure! I'll take em out and properly dispose of them by firing thousands and thousands of rounds through them till they stop working.

I should also like to buy $50 guns, but the gun shops here in Virginia have terrible selections. Ah well.

The only LGS that I will deal with use to not sell Hi Points. I was in their one day open carrying my C9 and he was asking me about it. I told him how positive my experience had been with them and told him he should start carrying them. Next time I was in there a couple months later he had a couple in the case. I mentioned the fact that he started carrying them and he told me he could not get them fast enough that he usually sells out of them in days when he get them in.
