Oh God, not this question! Lol.

Basically, you can't go wrong with either. I prefer the 9mm, for various reasons, but both will do the job just fine.

The 9mm is better because it's cheaper.

But the .40 is better because it's bigger.

But the 9mm is better because it comes in really hi cap guns.

But the .40 is better because the FBI uses it.

But the 9mm is better because NATO uses it.

And on, and on, and on.

Based on previous arguments.....

It has been proven that .40 is superior even to the .50BMG

In fact it is SO extremely powerful, that the us military wont use it and because of its primal raw power
the other calibers even still exist. If every one could accurately handle a "forty" that's all ANYTHING would
be chambered in anymore.

But since we cant.....

Wimpy girls need a 9mm that will bounce off you unless your naked, and bigger people who can handle a .45 but
not a .40 can go that way

But some FYI, the man in the moon was killed by a forty, only a 1/4" drop as far as you can see I've heard
I can't say personally cuz its way too much gun for me

Hope that answered the question

Nitrous Bob why must you stir chit on every post that someone is looking to learn from. Do you feel the need to post bs like that! I don't get it I guess that's just me being a gunny in the corp for so long that I don't get why when someone ask's a question others feel the need to poke fun or talk chit !

LOL, and Santa, the Easter Bunny and Fairies are real too! I like the 40SW round because I reload and the 40SW has a wide range of bullet weights and styles to choose from. But I also like other handgun rounds such as 38/357 and 10MM for the same reasons.

I don't like some of the bigger rounds like 44 and 45 because I have small hands and it's hard for me to grip most of those guns. They are also a bit painful to shoot.

Rounds like 9mm and 380 are just a bit too wimpy for me. I like to feel a little kick, just not a painful kick.

But hey whatever works for you is good. The important thing is it shoots straight and doesn't ware you out when you shoot it. Pick the round that you can shoot all day, everyday and never get tired of shooting it. Then go out and do just that or at least as often as you can.

Repetition is the key to shooting good.
