In fact it is SO extremely powerful, that the us military wont use it and because of its primal raw power
the other calibers even still exist. If every one could accurately handle a "forty" that's all ANYTHING would
be chambered in anymore.
Hope that answered the question

LOL, and Santa, the Easter Bunny and Fairies are real too! I like the 40SW round because I reload and the 40SW has a wide range of bullet weights and styles to choose from. But I also like other handgun rounds such as 38/357 and 10MM for the same reasons.
I don't like some of the bigger rounds like 44 and 45 because I have small hands and it's hard for me to grip most of those guns. They are also a bit painful to shoot.
Rounds like 9mm and 380 are just a bit too wimpy for me. I like to feel a little kick, just not a painful kick.
But hey whatever works for you is good. The important thing is it shoots straight and doesn't ware you out when you shoot it. Pick the round that you can shoot all day, everyday and never get tired of shooting it. Then go out and do just that or at least as often as you can.
Repetition is the key to shooting good.
