Default HELP!!! Need Exploded Diagram for .40 S&W JCP!!!

My wife's cousin brought me a .40 cal Model JCP...With all the parts in a bag, and now I need a diagram to put it all back together!

WHERE can I find an exploded-view diagram of the Hi-Point .40 S&W Model JCP?

Go to the top of this page and click on the "Hi-Point store," then navigate to Manuals and then to your pistol's manual. There you will find the diagram.

That is the worst manual I have EVER seen.

I had hoped for a more-detailed diagram...

That's pretty standard for handgun user manuals.

Look at the sticky for "trigger job." Also there are a number of disassembly vids on youtube.

Might I suggest sending it back to Mom? I bet she can get it back together as well as update any old parts.

You might even get a free mag for your trouble.

Darned good idea. I keep forgetting the simple answer isn't always the DIY answer.

I found a much-better diagram on the company's site - in a different place than previously.
The JCP is now fully assembled...Except that the so-called counter-weight is blocking the mag from fully seating in the mag well. Is it normal for the metal rod/counterweight to be at a 30-degree angle?
