Quick question. Is the ejection pin/ key and spring the same for the 9m as the 380?

I'm curious as to how an 8ft drop onto concrete, butt side first, proves anything. I'm pretty sure that would make a paper weight out of any handgun. To be fair, why don't you take one of your higher end weapons and show us the same test?

Not sure this vid shows anything except the owner has little common sense:
1. Dropping a weapon intintially even though it is unloaded with children around.
2. Has little patience to understand what the issue is with any gun.. (could be any manufacture)
The gun is trying to tell you something so if you are not "listening" you will never resolve the issue....

"I used to be a really big fan of Hi Points, but ... as you can see, I have actually returned this pistol a few times.."
He says this while showing an array of 4 magazines and his pistol on the floor.
Unless someone frequents these forums, or has discussed this with someone, or had sent a pistol in to the factory and received a free magazine in the return shipment, NO ... they cannot necessarily see that. But, he seems joyfully unaware of this seemingly obvious consideration.
Furthermore, while I do not claim to KNOW his methodology there, as he sends the gun to the floor off camera, he manoeuvres it at 1:24 in a way that is completely consistent with a person who is NOT dropping an item but is in fact THROWING it, which would increase the force of impact by a significant margin, at 8 feet, perhaps even exponentially so, but I am not a physicist so I will leave the calculation to others. Anyone who wilfully destroys a gun or other tool out of frustration is a complete moron to me. He could have sold that and made an easy hundred at least, which equals a lot of ammo.

this is just dumb tbh; throwing any sidearm at a distance is going to mess up the internal mechanisms in it and maybe the outer as well- i dont care if its a 1911, sig, glock, taurus, or a hi point. its just a bad thing period to abuse that your weapon period. incidents happen to where you have to drop and may affect your shooting; but just blatantly throwing it 20 ft is gonna pretty much give you the same result all the way around in the long run. BAD TEST BAD VIDEO!

When I did some research on Youtube about the HiPoints I realized there are way too may idiots posting gun video's.
Seems like every retard with a gun puts up a water jug for a "ballistics test".
Every numb-nuts posts a "gun-review".
We'll file this one under that title.

This dude also has a video where he duct taped two magazines together to create a 16 round mag for the same .380, and proceeds to cycle 17 live rounds in his house. You probably shouldn't own guns.
