Default Alsworld Rifle Sling Installation Sticky

Alright, this is the easy way to show how to install your sling, with pictures! If you want it reversed and put on the opposite side, the link above can show you how.

First, lay the carbine down where it's safe (and unloaded!) with the right side facing up. You will need to remove the two screws and replace them with the bases for your sling (came in a plastic package with your carbine) in these same locastions. One is the top of the butt, the other the forward most centerline screw. I have highlighted them by sticking a white pen through so you can see where they are.

Aft

Forward

Next lay out the webbing flat. Run it through the two metal tri-glides that came with your carbine and then through the sling bases on both the forward and back end. Like this:

Aft

Run it back through the triglides to finish. You can adjust it all you want after it's rigged

Now you should be good to go!

Great post Alsworld. Plenty of pics and explanations so everyone can follow along. I'm going to suggest that your pics and instructions be placed as a sticky in either the carbine section or the gunsmithing section.

Many many Thanks 2TN Mules! I am happy to contribute usefull items when I can. For those needing closer or more detailed photos I am happy to oblige. If you want or need more information on how I rigged my sling, just ask! Everything is stock from Hi-Point except I changed the webbing out to a mil-spec 1" type 17 webbing just because I worked with some. Stronger yet softer, otherwise just because I could so cheap. What I received from Hi-Point was perfectly fine.

I did mine exactly the same way, with the exception that I turned the loose ends to the inside of the sling (towards the gun).

Hey Alsworld, in your post it says to reverse the mounts "see the link above". What link is that?

This sticky was initially part of a reply of another post where someone had posted to another link on how to reverse the sling. It had a link that another HPFF member had posted that was above my reply. When it got sticky'ed here, I looked like I was talking to myself LOL! Let me see if I can find that thread and I'll come back and post it. There you will find my "missing link".

Here it is, their reply on reversing the sling in a different thread: Thanks for catching that!

Get an Allen Eudura 85. It's padded, has a quick open slide to loosen the sling for carry or to a length to wrap around your arm for stability. I added a rivet to the strap so it quick opens to a size I use. I used a length of the sling I cut off to make a ring around the sling to hold the loose end.

A picture is worth 1,000 words.
