I don't know the answers to your questions...but mine cost me $125 worth of a trade gun...and had a TS stock on it, plus the OEM! My Camo cost me $149 used, while the black classic is running $129 used, in my AO.

they were early run guns, chrome parts are no longer available AFAIK. mine is an "A" serial prefix. only made for a couple years and then discontinued. for a while you could get service parts in chrome but i think those are all gone.

I got mine for $75, and it is an "A" model. It may not be the prettiest crayon in the box, but it is one of the brightest......... and I like the fact that it's different from most of the rest.
I gotta be me ^-^

Mosin Nagants are like Happy Meal toys. You can call yourself a collector and leave them on the shelf in the plastic, but they are not much fun to play with.

getting the parts chromed is not the same as having a factory made chrome 995.

of course it can be done. you could gold chrome it too, or paint it any version of camo, or have it camo dipped or any other decorum. Aren't hp's fun?
