Sorry you were made to wait (illegally) for your carbine, Jake. Please follow up with a local 2nd amendment defense group about getting this unconstitutional local law thrown out!

It's strange how the laws differ from county to county. You would think the laws would be state-wide. Ultimately I understand the logic of making someone wait for a firearm purchase. It does dampen the instant gratification of the purchase experience itself, but I guess that's easily resolved with signing up for a CCW class and obtaining a concealed carry certification.

Agreed. I also learned that you do not have to legally wait if you present a receipt with your legal name on it for a previous gun purchase (in FL) or if you are known to the LGS and have purchased from them before.
I hate legalese. Make it simple: Felon? No guns for you. Everyone else? No problem.

It's funny you say that. I originally paid for my JHP and left only to return two days later after deciding to buy the 4595. The counter guy advised me of the 5 day wait for it, which shocked me a bit. I was convinced a carbine rifle was a same day purchase.
The owner then overheard us talking and told him if the customer already bought his handgun they can piggy back the carbine waiting period for me so I could pick them up the same day. That was good to hear.

Miami-Dade, Broward & Palm Beach Counties all have the same waiting period, unless you have a Concealed Carry Permit. If that is the case, there is no waiting period, however, there is a mandatory background check for which they will also charge you, $5.

Tomorrow at 5:01PM est I'll FINALLY be in possession of both weapons.
After a good once over, cleaning, and oiling I'll head to one of the local ranges and fire off some rounds to get a feel for both 45's. Good times.

I stuck a ful mag in it pulled thr charge handle back let it close. when you pull the handle back again the loaded round stays in the chamber. With the charging handle locked back you have to run a rod down the bore to get the round out Dose it with almost every round I have never had this ploblem with any of my other guns before.Acts like the extractor is week or some thing maybe it will work ok after fired a fu times . But if it dosent with live rounds I dont think it will with a fired one.The only ploblem I see with this is if you loaded a round and pulled the mag out and pulled the charging handle you couldnt get it complety unloaded with out running some thing down the bore to knock out the live round. Not real safe you are going to always have it loaded.
