Default Right handed charging handle

Just an idea i had while hiking around the back country with my 4595 slung. The charging handle was constantly bumping into me. Most annoying and uncomfortable. I was wondering if anyone had thought or accomplished moving the charging handle to the right side of the carbine? A simple cut would have to be made to the receiver cover but otherwise i don't see any other potential issues doing this mod. Your thoughts?

Ive got one that I don't use if you want it...$15 shipped. It doesn't do last round hold open.

brasstacker makes some, like redacted says no bolt hold open on them though. What's funny about that is over on the Saiga forum, it's all about putting a left handed charging handle on them, just struck me funny to see the exact opposite here.

Umm, my sling is on the opposite side from the charger and it's gone on many hikes without any jabbing. But the laser can be a pain in the back at times if bouncing on rough terrain (just too lazy to remove it for the hikes...lol)

Put the sling on the right side like they were designed to be, so the handle is facing out?

Works for me anyway. Another possiblity is a single point rig.

Loose last round hold open or the ability to manually hold open the bolt?

I just don't see how you would loose LRHO with changing the bolt handle. Manual bolt catch yes.

I have read the same thing many times and I decided against changing the handle. I don't see losing the LRHO just to switch the handle to the other side. I am left handed and I will just learn to deal with it.

The charging handle is what locks back the action. Its machined that way in the left. Move it to the right won't lock back with out an empty mag.

Im pretty sure that what your talking about is not the last round hold open. What youre talking about is the circle on the left side where the knob fits in. That is not the lrho. Im pretty sure that is for cleaning the gun. The last round hold open is on the inside of the gun, and in no way connected the knob
