Default 380 hi-point and 22lr

I shot my new 380 yesterday for the second time at a outdoor range. the wind was blowing so hard it was moving my arms so I was shooting at about 10 Yards. I felt I shot some good groupings once I was able to find the paper. I shot about 50 rounds during lunch break. the job I am working on has a range area that we can shoot at, it is not a very good place to shoot because of the wind and no bench but it was still a good time. No jambs and no ftfs so I am pleased I have not had to make any adjustments to anything except the sights and that is in doubt, I need to go to an indoor range and sight in with no wind.

I have a 22 lr Ruger target pistol that I had with me, the last time I shot it at the work range it would jamb up to often, it was very cold the last time I shot it and yesterday when I shot it it was mid 50s and there were no Jambs. It was shooting better than the Hi-point but I had sighted it at a indoor range already so I new the starting point was good.

Dude, you have a shooting range at work? That is fantastic! What do you do for a living?

Would they let you build a make shift bench? Maybe set up some sort of wind break?

I am a carpenter, we are doing a remodel to there home, I would like to build a bench and wind block but it is not my property. But part of the job is to build a shooting structure but the remodel is first unfortunately.

I had the chance to shoot again today during lunch plus about an extra 45 minutes. The engineer for our project came out to look at job and I was given the assignment to shoot with him. It was enjoyable time the wind was not blowing to hard, and my groupings are getting better and closer to what I am aiming for. I guess practice pays. At the end of the day the contractor for the job thanked me for entertaining the engineer. No Problem any time I said. Doghouse
