I tend to use the 3M plugs llike these best ear buds hearing protection - Hi-Point Reviews & Range Reports

I also have a couple of sets of Champion brand ones as well .

I have been planning to get a set of the electronic ear muffs . As I tend to use hearing protection while also running chainsaws I can see them being very us full and I can see the safety advantage especially if a person doubles up with plugs and muffs .

I use the spark plug brand at work on a flooring mill... It can get pretty loud there. They work pretty good.

Are these ambidextrous or each plug dedicated to a side?

I wouldn't think it matters unless you were streaming music where left and right might matter.
