Finally another range trip. Still frustrating.
Well I finally got out to the range again with my brother. Took the G19, C9, P11, and Hawk 982 (first time shooting the 12 gauge). I think the spare mag I have for the C9 is bad, it stovepipes hollow points alot and the LRHO doesn't work. The other mag works fine. Can I send the mag alone into mother to fix it? With the G19 I was shooting low and left. Still close enough for self defense purposes, but low and left, so frustrating. Couldn't figure out why. The Hawk 982 was awesome tho. Went thru 40 rounds of birdshot between the 2 of us and 6 00 Buck just to see what it's like. A little more kick than bird, but not too bad, my shoulder is a bit sore, but of the 46 rounds of 12 gauge I did probably at least 25-30 of them. I was awesome with the shotgun tho. Anything within 50 feet is toast. Straight holes through the head and chest where I aimed (well at 50 feet there was still spread all over the target, but you could still clearly see the initial hole I aimed for. Close than 50 feet was straight hole with a little outside spread). It's frustrating that I was so good with the shotgun but low and left with the hangun. Any advice?
Eric

Low and left is the direction POI usually goes with poor trigger control. If you squeeze instead of pull you twist the gun low and left. The idea is to pull the trigger along an imaginary line that is parallel with the bore. Of course you could have perfect trigger control and the gun is simply shooting low and left. Next time think about your trigger control as you shoot, and try to pull the trigger along that parallel line. See if that makes a difference. If not adjust your sights if possible. If the sights are fixed you'll have to adjust your POA with that gun.

Ony my JCP and JHP, I use the pad of my finger and pull the trigger straight back toward my eye. Seems to get good groupings

You can also try a different ammo. Sometimes that will help. I would also make sure the gun is clean. If it's gummed up it may be forcing the barrel off center a bit. If nothing else works and since it's a Glock, a decent gun, you could consider having a good pistol smith fix it for you. It would cost a pretty penny, but you'd have a sweet shooting Glock. I'm hoping before I'm all used up I can afford to own a very well pro tuned gun.

I just thought of something. Is it possible I'm pulling too low on the trigger? I was noticing I pull very low on the trigger, to the point where sometimes my finer rubs the trigger guard a bit. Should I be pulling on the highest point possible on the trigger instead of the lowest? Or does that not matter?

More than likely your are anticipating the recoil and flinching just a bit as you fire. Get some snap caps, have a friend load them into random places in the magazine between live rounds and watch how you react when you pull the trigger and it doesn't go bang, I bet the gun jerks a little to the left and low. The way to combat that is to concentrate on the front sight picture and you can distract yourself by saying front sight front sight over and over until the weapon fires. While you are saying it, concentrate on a clear front sight, fuzzy target line of sight, meaning that the front sight should be sharp and the target fuzzy behind it in your sight picture.

Yeah, flinch can pull you low and left. Also noticed that when I'm not pulling back with my left hand (that push-pull thing) I shoot low and left.
