Not really, I only use mine when I'm at work in my truck. I used to know a lot of guys around here that talked but most have moved away or are dead.

Yeah same here i noticed back in 1992 people had stopped talking on there radios by 94 or 95 everybody was gone it sure was fun at the time listening to everybody talk i think everybody fighting on them killed it here

For most folks a cellphone takes the place of CB for actual communications these days. Back in the 70s my Mom got into it heavily, I suspect mainly because it gave her a way to check up on Dad when he was away from the house! Of course you had your usual characters on the radio, and she became obsessed with what she considered their profanity and other "illegal communications". She literally had garbage bags full of tapes she had made of them! Finally got tired of it I guess, last we had a working radio was probably about 1990. I have a walkie talkie stuffed in the emergency kit for the car in case I'm in a cell "dead area" but that's about it. Nowdays it's just a party line for truckers and bored people.

That's funny my mom and dad were the same way even recording the conversations thanks your comment brought back memories from my childhood i forgot
