Default Underbed Gun Storage/Safe

Looking to get more rifles and such, and want someplace good to lock em up. A gun safe isn't feasible right now (and way too pricey), so I was thinking about finding a good locking drawer for under the bed. I found this: http://www.truckvault.com/OtherProducts_BedVault.aspx , but the price is still a little out there.

Does anyone know of a good underbed storage drawer that either comes with a lock on it, or the capability to add one myself? Doesn't need to be anything too crazy, just not sure what to look for right now.

Even plain wooden underbed storage drawers run several hundred bucks. I would just get one of those cheap "Gun Lockers" like they sell at WallyWorld and homestores. Usually less than $200 for a small one and while they are easily broken into, they are better than nothing. Just make sure you put it in a closet or elswhere out of sight and lag bolt it to the studs, wall and floor.

Agreed... Much better bang for the buck.

Something like this one? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sentry-5-Gun-Safe/4244347 - It definitely seems to fit the bill.

I would still like something that would fit under the bed, but I'll take what I can get! Even something like a rubbermaid action packer would be great - thick durable plastic that can lock on both ends. http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?Prod_ID=RP091427 Just wish they had an underbed size It could still be broken into by someone who wanted it, but the idea is mostly to keep children out of it.

I'll look into the walmart safes as at least they are affordable, thanks!

well it's not exactly a safe, but i use a dual rifle case that's "travel friendly". it fits fine under my bed, and has 3 holes for padlocks/cable locks to lock the case up. its a hard case and does the job i bought her for. might want to look into that, got it for about 20 bucks

Well at least you will be more prepared for the boogeyman I have all 6 of my rifles underneath my bed... so the boogeyman would have some issues.... I just keep a safety lock on them I dont need see the need for a safe like that....
