Default Blank Ammo

Not every indoor range allows rifle caliber cartridges in their ranges, but would you think they would allow rifle caliber blanks? Is it possible that they would also allow the blanks to be fired in those ranges without a Blank Firing Adapter, assuming they allow blanks at all?

I think if the range doesn't allow rifle calibers, they probably won't even let you in with a rifle period.

Years ago, my wife and I went shooting. She was using a .22 SAA that she'd inherited from her father. She'd shoot all 8 chambers then hand it to ME to reload. After a few times through I started thinking, "like, what the heck? Am I your water boy or something?" So I palmed in a handfull of blanks.

She cranked all 8 down range and was extremely upset that the shoot-n-see targets didn't show any hits. She handed it back to me and we went through the same routine. She got even more upset and switched to the "close" target, handing the revolver back to her trusty servant to reload. More "rounds" downrange and more frustration on her part and I just couldn't keep a straight face any longer.

Now she loads her own and I am thoroughly convinced of the usefulness of blanks.

Peace favor your sword,
Kirk

30 or 40 min. later in the same shooting session she thought to try it again. So I loaded her up with some CCI snake-shot.

You shoulda seen the shoot-n-see target. hahahahaha

Last time she tried it.

Peace favor your sword,
Kirk

That reminds me of letting a friend try my Taurus Tracker for the first time. I loaded it with .38 Specials with one .357. It went something like: Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! B O O M ! ! ! (he looks at the gun kind of funny) Bam! Bam!
