Default The "I bought ammo" sticky

if you wish to tell us you bought ammo, where you bought ammo, what kind of ammo you bought etc, this is the place to discuss it. if it is a specific question about specific ammo go ahead and start a new thread. any more threads like "walmart ammo today", "i bought ammo" etc will be removed or merged with this one.

Well I bought ammo today there was a new gun shop in Lima Oh. and the wife and I stoped in to check it out .Talked with the owner seemed like a real nice guy. I got 1000 rds of PMC .223 for 365$ that comes out to like 7.30$ a box of 20 not bad for around this area.If any one wants to know the gun shop is the Artillery Shed.

Yesterday 9 mm ammo was
$23.97 for a 100 round white box.And they even had a few boxes on hand. That is about double the price of 2 years ago! > :embarrassed2:

Found some HP .22lr at wally world yesterday. I dont own a 22lr but bout the 550 bulk back just the same. *Plan on getting an m4 conversion kit*.

Also purchased 100 9mm rounds 124gr little more expensive then white box. But I liked it overall.

OK the ammo drought is over at least here in Festus MO... my wally world has a COMPLETELY full display case! Yes, you heard me right. It has at least 20 boxes of .380... .45 out the wazoo, FOUR different kinds of 9mm, Federal, WWB, Winchester NATO and even Blazer, .40 in Federal and WWB and UMC, personal protection rounds... so check your local store! Kyle, if your wallyworld down there doesn't have your .380 then pop on up here and grab it while you can!

how much would you pay for a 100 round WWB value pack, 9mm? my local walmarts haven't had them in stock for what seems like years. i saw them at gander mountain for $30 which is too much, i think. i saw them at Dicks but i couldn't get the price. 9mm has pretty much gone up in price by about 10-20% in the last year and a half around my neck of the woods. and i cant find any brand of 9mm for less than $14/50 rounds. the good news is that the major suppliers have had 9mm in stock routinely for the last few months, so i can find it anywhere, just not at a good price.

also i saw 100 round pack of remington JHP for $39. would you pay that much? kinda seems like a deal, just under 40 cents a round for JHP.

I bought a 500 round brick of Aquile 60gr subsonic 22lr ammo. Happy to say it works great in my SARCK.

My son asked me what he could get for his step-mom for Mother's day, and since I already had a present that no one could top, I told him to stop in at walmart and pick her up a box of Federal 9mm FMJ for her C9, he was like... are you serious? She laughed like crazy and gave him a hug, and best of all, he only spent $9.97 for it.
