I have used PMC, Remington, Federal, TulAmmo, Winchester, Aguila, and for personal defense, Speer Gold Dot, all with no failures. And I do handload using jacketed solid and hollow points, along with cast lead bullets, again with no failures.

This past weekend, I had my 1st fail to eject with my Kel-Tec P3 using cheap Winchester 380 ACP 95gr FMJ.
So far Ive shot about 250 rounds of this ammo and keep some Monarch 94gr JHP for defense.
The Winchester price is hard to beat for plinking, but I still wonder why it cost about the same as 9mm when the 380 has less load and brass.

My wife has a .380 and she uses PMC, Remington, Federal, Aguila, MagTech and for personal defense, Speer Gold Dot for HD. She really likes them.

I've had very good luck with S&B and PMC FMJ in a Kel-Tec .380 and also in my C9. Plus you can often find them on sale if you shop around.

I like magtech. I only shoot FMJ out of my P3AT... I figure I need all the penetration I can get. I don't trust HP's to punch deep enough. Or feed when I need it.

Oddly enough, I remember reading something about Federal Hydra-Shok's less than stellar reputation for reliable expansion could be considered an asset in the .380. That being said but not necessarily believed, my LCP runs Remington 102gr Golden Saber, Winchester 95gr Ranger T series, and Hornady 90gr critical defense without issues. For practice it's eaten Remington UMC, WWB, Blazer and PMC without a hiccup.
