TULAMMO
unless I have the worst luck, I'm swearing off tulammo now also. I got a RIA1911 that won't feed properly with it (my JHP eats it fine). I did have several weak loads in the last box I bought of .45acp. but the real issue has been with the .380 ammo. I bought 5 boxes of .380, I had 5 duds, they had good primer strikes but no bang. the other problem is the steel cases actually damaged the breach face of my .380. I started having continuous FTF. I switched to PMC ammo and the problem continued. after a field strip I could see where the breach face was mushroomed. I was able to dremal the face and fix the problem but no more steel cases for me!

Well Dang I started off shooting WWB then got off of that due to the stuff posted on here! then I started stocking up on the Tullammo that functions flawlessly in all of my Hi-Points now I'm hearing this! I just don't know what else is going to happen, if I start to stock upon the federal is it going to turn bad om me to?

Re: TULAMMO
I don't use steel cased ammo on any round that headspaces on the mouth, just seems like a bad combo to me. To be honest I only use steel cased ammo in my AK.

Re: TULAMMO
I never had a problem running it through my JHP, my wifes C9 won't cycle it at all. my .380 liked it until it didn't.

Re: TULAMMO
It is always a bad idea to use ammunition with steel casings, regardless of the manufacturer. The reason for this is that when you have steel on steel contact it is uncertain whether the casing will conform to the chamber (normal) or if the chamber will conform to the casing (causing damage to your breach). A third and far worse scenario is if neither conform to each other so the round is improperly seated in the chamber and your breach fails to close completely, yet the round still fires. Then the casing fails due to being incorrectly supported and.... BOOM. Your gun is destroyed, your hand maybe too :'(... and what about that person shooting next to you.
It is for this reason my local range has banned the use of Wolf ammo, Tulammo and all other ammo with steel casings as a safety issue.
Brass on the other hand is still tough but is softer than steel and presents with far less danger in this regard.
Bottom line: ALWAYS SHOOT BRASS, even if it is the WWB "forbidden ammo", just make sure there is no visible corrosion.

Re: TULAMMO
the steel on steel argument is a load, there are two completely different strenghts of steel involved. If it was such a common problem the AK would be the largest source of KB's in the world...

+1 on that. If the gun will cycle it then there is no problem shooting it. My 995 loves the Tula but my C9 won't even come close to cycling it. The Soviets have been using steel case pistol ammo for decades and I've shot 1,000s of rounds of it with no problems except for my C9 not liking it.
